If someone asks me what appeals to me about the film industry: It’s the people.
It doesn’t matter where that person is from, what gender, sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation, etc.
Everyone has the same fire in their hearts as I do. Everyone wants to make the project happen with great love for the film.
Alexander Lentner began his film career in 2017 at ARRI, the world’s leading camera manufacturer. Until early 2020, he was involved in various international feature film productions. During this time, he gained valuable experience in camera technology and became familiar with the workflow of large film sets.
After a brief hiatus, Lentner returned to the film industry in 2021, taking on key roles as a Set Manager, including for the commercial Living with Sky-Frame and Schmidbauerfilm’s feature film Who burries the Undertaker?
In 2022, he took on important roles as an Assistant Director and Set Manager in various projects, including commercials such as Milka Klettermmmax for Mondelēz International. He was also involved as a grip in the series Mojo & Der Begehrte Bachelor for Fusion Alpha Ltd.
Since 2023, Lentner has been a producer for the German Wrestling Federation, contributing his creative and organizational skills to production. The year 2023 was also marked by numerous film projects, including his role as 1st Assistant Director for short films such as Dine and Die. He also returned to Schmidbauerfilm as a Set Manager for the short feature film Death Code X. Additionally, he worked as a 3rd Assistant Director on the Amazon MGM Studios feature film Your Christmas or Mine 2. Other projects he was involved in include commercials such as Bosideng (Prodigious) and his work as a 2nd Assistant Director for the McDonald’s commercial Burger Maestro.
In 2024, Lentner completed his last projects as a Set Manager for the second season of the Netflix/ORF series Women of the Dead and the feature film Bubbles (Schmidbauerfilm). Since then, he has fully focused on his work as a producer.
One of the highlights of his career is his long-term collaboration with Ahmed Chaer. In Chaer’s feature film debut, Erbsünde – Veil of Sin, Lentner started as an Assistant Director in 2022, was promoted to 2nd Unit Director during production, and was ultimately responsible for its completion and marketing as a producer. This close collaboration has shaped Lentner, and he continues to work closely with Chaer.
